Empowering Responsible Disclosure – The NCC’s third CYBER Breakfast

Once again, the National Cybersecurity Coordination Centre for Malta is organising an event part of the CYBER Breakfast series. The event will be held on the 12th of September at AX The Palace Hotel between 08:00 and 12:00. This business breakfast will be tackling the concept of ‘responsible disclosure’ and its role in the cybersecurity community.

Security enthusiasts can responsibly disclose vulnerabilities to the appropriate parties in a safe manner. During the first part of the morning, after a brief introduction by the NCC, such subject will be discussed by an expert, followed by a panel discussion, to provide community members with tangible takeaways and real value on the matter. It is necessary to explain the notion and its proper application, especially in view of EU and global regulations.

Later, in a separate breakout discussion during the breakfast, delegates will have the chance to debate how responsible disclosure can be handled in Malta. Different groups will examine Coordinated Vulnerability Disclosure from various aspects – legal, political, economic, and ecosystem maturity. In this manner, the breakout sessions will expand on the previous educational sessions to provide a deeper understanding.
