MITA-NCC launches cybersecurity awareness campaign “Int Importanti”

The National Cybersecurity Coordination Centre (MITA-NCC), in collaboration with MITA and the Cyber Crime Unit within the Malta Police Force, has launched a nationwide awareness campaign aimed at helping people across Malta stay safe online. This campaign forms part of MITA-NCC’s ongoing efforts to raise awareness about cybersecurity and promote safe online practices across the country.

Titled “Int Importanti”, the campaign is being implemented as a structured awareness programme  being delivered through television broadcasts and online platforms.  The campaign, marks the beginning of a series made up of fourteen short, 30-second educational features. designed to provide practical, easy-to-understand guidance for individuals, families, and businesses.

Each feature presents a practical cybercrime scenario in a concise and accessible format, with Maltese-language versions and English-subtitled versions supporting wider outreach. The campaign will continue to be rolled out over several months, with selected features broadcast regularly and complemented by supporting online guidance.

Through relatable, everyday scenarios, the videos highlight common online risks such as phishing attempts, suspicious links, scam phone calls, and misleading content. Additional videos and supporting guidance will continue to be released under the “Int Importanti” banner in the coming months.

The campaign videos will be available through the campaign playlist, which will be updated regularly as new content is released: 👉  Watch the campaign
