In December 2025, the National Cybersecurity Coordination Centres (NCCs) of Malta and Cyprus organised a joint event in Nicosia, Cyprus.
The event aimed to foster dialogue, strengthen cooperation, and facilitate the exchange of practical experience between the Maltese and Cypriot cybersecurity ecosystems. It brought together key stakeholders to discuss shared challenges and opportunities in the evolving cybersecurity landscape.
Key topics included the implementation of the NIS2 Directive, EU funding opportunities, and priorities for broader collaboration. The programme also featured a dedicated B2B matchmaking session, providing participants with the opportunity to explore commercial synergies, connect with potential partners, and discuss initiatives relevant to their respective organisations.
Representatives from the European Union Agency for Cybersecurity (ENISA) and the European Cybersecurity Competence Centre (ECCC) were also in attendance, contributing to the discussions by sharing their expertise, perspectives, and experiences.
Overall, the event was highly successful, further strengthening collaboration between the two NCCs while offering valuable opportunities for the national cybersecurity ecosystems of both countries.
