NASA Employees’ personal data at risk after hack

NASA has informed its staff that hackers may have stolen their persobal details. This occured after suspicions arose that two of the servers which contained details of past and present employees have been compromised.

A spokesperson for NASA confirmed that no mission details were revealed.

The same spokesperson revealed that NASA is working hard to secure all servers and is reviewing its procedures to ensure that the latest security practices are being adopted across all levels in the agency.

The Space Agency suffered another attack in 2011 in which hackers took control of computers in a NASA Lab which was followed by another attack in 2013 which led to 8 NASA webdomains being attacked by the Master Italian Hackers Team.
