CYBER+ALT Information Session

On Friday, July 7th, the NCC hosted an online information session regarding its CYBER+ALT grant scheme. The scheme aims to assist SMEs in investing to enhance their overall level of security and resilience. This proactive approach will enable them to effectively handle cyber threats and meet future challenges.

The session began with Katia Bonello from the NCC introducing the scheme, its objectives, and the financial aid available. She highlighted the suitability of the scheme for SMEs. Following Katia, Andrea Camilleri from Servizzi Ewropej F’Malta discussed how their organization can support applicants, both during the application phase and by providing guidance during project implementation.

Furthermore, to make the scheme more tangible, a set of sample projects and examples were shared with the attendees for inspiration. These examples included covered the five different eligible investment areas, being:

  • Vulnerability Management systems
  • Threat Detection & Response systems
  • Identity & Access Management frameworks
  • End-to-end Data Protection
  • Enhanced Cloud-based Platform Security

The session concluded with a question-and-answer session whereby attendees has the opportunity to clarify and grey areas. Ultimately, everyone was encouraged to send their questions on the NCC mailbox (ncc.mita@gov.mt) with any other questions they might have.
