We are delighted to announce another CYBER Breakfast event, a gathering of the National Cybersecurity Community, to discuss challenges that are encountered by security professionals when dealing with finance and operations executives, who might have different priorities.
This event will take place on Tuesday, 17th September 2024, between 08:00 and 12:00, at the AX The Palace Hotel in Sliema.
Join us for a morning of discussions, networking opportunities and information sharing.
For this time only, as a Community Member you are being invited to bring along a guest from within your organisation. The guest should be either a Chief Financial Officer or a Chief Operations Officer, or a representative. Only one guest will be allowed with each of the community members.
During the first part of the event, a panel discussion made up of CFOs and COOs from different organisations will delve into the financial leadership’s viewpoint on cybersecurity. Such a discussion aims to bridge the knowledge gap between finance and IT. Financial and operations executives will be provided with a better understanding about the importance of cybersecurity, encouraging them to include it as part of their strategic priorities. Similarly, cybersecurity practitioners will understand the challenges and expectations that business executives must juggle with in the digital age.
The panel discussion will be held between panellists Ms Abigail Abela Cavallaro, Head (Finance and Procurement) – SERVIZZ.GOV, Mr Clive Spiteri, Chief Financial Officer – Videoslots and Mr Ernest J. Agius, Chief Operations Officer – Bank of Valletta p.l.c. The panel will be interviewed by Mr Malcolm Portelli, CISO – Andaria, who will be representing the cybersecurity community in this conversation.
During the second part of the session, attendees will be engaging in a breakout session where finance and operations managers and executives will be discussing with IT and cybersecurity practitioners on the challenges they face, while identifying strategies through which cyber risks can be translated into operational risks. The outcome from these sessions will then be shared amongst the larger group, with different perspectives, common ideas, challenges, and opportunities that emerge.
If you are already a Community Member, click here to register to this event. If not, you are invited to join the Community first by registering through the Community Portal.
Places are limited and reservations will be treated on a first-come-first-served basis. This event will be recognized for 3 CPE credits.
Parking is available at the hotel at a preferential charge of €3 for the duration of the whole event. Kindly be advised that only cash payments, preferably in exact amounts, are accepted.
