We are delighted to announce the second CYBER Breakfast for this year, a gathering of the National Cybersecurity Community, to unveil the National Coordinated Vulnerability Disclosure (CVD) Policy that has just been developed by MDIA and CIPD collaboratively, with a spotlight on the requirements emanating from the NIS2 Directive.
This event will take place on Wednesday, 10th July 2024, between 08:00 and 12:00, at the AX The Palace Hotel in Sliema.
Join us for a morning of discussions, networking opportunities and insights about the NIS2 Directive and the National CVD Policy.
During the first part of the morning, the Director at CIPD, Mr Matthew Yeomans will be delivering a presentation that provides an overview of the NIS2 Directive.
The session will introduce the legislation, its scope and objective, while exploring its high-level requirements and focusing on the vulnerability disclosure aspect emanating from it.
In the following session, the Managing Legal Counsel at MDIA, Dr Annalise Seguna will be introducing a National CVD Policy.
This session will announce the introduction of a National CVD Policy through a joint effort by the CIPD and MDIA. It will explain its scope and objective, the main elements of the policy, how it shall be adopted by entities, and how the coordinate process for vulnerability disclosure will work.
The second part of the event will follow with a panel discussion moderated by Ms Jennifer Bellizzi from Slido, and held between panellists Mr Gavril Flores, Chief Officer (Strategy, Policy, and Governance) – MDIA, Dr Ian Gauci, Managing Partner – GTG Advocates, Mr Matthew Yeomans, Director – CIPD and Mr Hubert Micallef, Information Security Specialist – GO.
The panel discussion will bring in different stakeholders together to answer pertinent questions on the CVD policy. The discussion aims to increase the clarity around the policy itself, outline how organisations in scope of regulations are to adopt it, as well as explore its applicability beyond regulatory compliance.
